How we use your data
This notice explains the information used by The Modern Vastra storefront, why it is used, and the choices available to you. It applies to this website’s current prototype services.
Essential store session
We place a signed, HTTP-only tmv_sid cookie containing a random session token. The server stores only a hash of that token, its activity and expiry times, and a link to your anonymous or registered user record. We use it to secure your bag, checkout, and email sign-in. It expires after 30 days of inactivity and is refreshed when you use these services.
Email authentication
When you ask to sign in, we process your email address and a hashed one-time-code record. The code expires after 10 minutes. After successful verification, we retain your email, verification time, and any name you chose to provide so you can access your account. We do not currently authenticate phone numbers.
Optional browser preferences
If you accept preferences, your selected-address preference is stored in your browser’s local storage. Delivery addresses and wishlist products are saved to your account only after email verification. Rejecting preferences deletes the browser preference copy and keeps future preference changes memory-only for the current page visit. No advertising or analytics cookies are currently used.
Your choices and rights
Use “Cookie choices” in the footer to accept, reject, or change optional storage at any time. Clearing the essential session cookie creates a new anonymous store session. To ask for access, correction, erasure, consent withdrawal, or grievance support, email privacy@themodernvastra.com.
